Welcome to Aoki laboratory

The research area of Aoki Laboratory is tribology, which is a science and technology that deals with various problems such as friction, wear, and lubrication at the interface of solids in relative motion. We focus on the interactions and friction chemical reactions between lubricant additives and solid surfaces, and conduct research to establish friction control technology from the viewpoint of energy conservation. In addition, as a fusion of tribology and human/kansei engineering, we are also engaged in research on the relationship between finger sliding friction phenomenon and human sense of touch/tactile perception.

We are looking for graduate students (master and doctoral students) who are interested in our research. Please do not hesitate to contact Mr. Aoki if you have any questions about our laboratory.
