About
Introduction to Aoki laboratory
The Aoki Laboratory conducts research in the field of Tribology, the science and technology that addresses various phenomena such as friction, wear, and lubrication at solid interfaces in relative motion. With a focus on the tribochemical reactions between lubricant oil additives and solid surfaces, as well as their interaction with surface modification, the laboratory aims to establish friction control and wear reduction technologies from the perspective of resource and energy conservation. In addition, as a fusion of tribology and kansei engineering, research is also being conducted on the relationship between the sliding friction characteristics of fingers and human sensibilities such as tactile sensation.
